Looking for the Bittersweet Socks? Wendy D. Johnson, whose blog, Wendy Knits, can be found here, created a spectacular design for our 2009 Fall Season Sock Club Kit. She translated the gnarled, sweeping branches of the bittersweet vine into a complex, twisting stitch pattern that winds its way along the socks. Teaming the design with Luster Sox Bittersweet, a fabulous Bluefaced Leicester yarn hand-dyed in a warm brown colorway, Wendy created a striking interpretation of this New England scene that will be as satisfying to knit as to wear. Visit us! We really enjoy meeting fellow fiber lovers. October was a busy month for us and we had a terrific time at Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival, New York Sheep and Wool Festival (Rhinebeck) and Stitches East. Our next show will be Stitches West in Santa Clara, California on February 25-28 (details here), followed by Connecticut Sheep, Wool and Fiber Festival in Vernon, Connecticut on April 24 (details here). Knit with Us! You can join us for discussions of yarn, color, patterns, techniques and more in our Ravelry group, called Dye Dreamers. This is also the place where we conduct our sock club KALs. The Bougainvillea Sock Knit Along started on March 1 with the Fiddlehead Sock Knit Along on June 1 and Fields of Daisies on August 15.
